Mitsubishi Power Systems Europe Ltd (MPW-EU) are providing end to end services to Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators, Controls systems and Accessory systems of OEM and OOEM (Other OEM) products to increase efficiency, reliability and availability throughout the entire lifecycle of the assets. MPW-EU is a pioneer on delivering latest technology to modernize upgrades, remote monitoring, and lifetime extension, digital solution (TOMONI) to optimize power plant performance and make the plant competitive in the ever-changing dynamic marketing environment.

Mitsubishi Power are looking for a flexible and forward-thinking candidate with an interest in developing a career within the energy industry. The successful candidate will join the CRE team as a Graduate Repair Engineer to focus on the repair of Turbine hardware and to support the operation and maintenance of the wider industrial gas and steam turbine fleet.

The Graduate Repair Engineer will bring a solid foundation of engineering knowledge and will support during Quality inspection, assessment and reporting of component condition as well as repair procedure development and technical reporting on an expansive range of Steam turbine and gas turbine related components and materials. Working with subcontract companies to supervise and manage repair activities, the successful candidate would also support on-site inspection of gas and steam turbine rotors and valves during the delivery of site service. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience from working in an engineering service  environment however they will have the opportunity to develop their ability and capability in this role .

 

Person Specification:

 

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with Materials and/or Welding Engineering qualification being advantageous. Relevant engineering degrees (materials/aerospace) may be considered with a demonstrated understanding in Power turbine principles.
  • Strong knowledge and experience relevant to large and small industrial gas turbines from major manufacturers.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team with people of different cultures and nationalities. Knowledge of Japanese would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Conversant in CAD Software e.g. SolidWorks or Creo.  (Knowledge of computational modelling would be an advantage). 
  • Fluency in Italian and business English
  • Computer knowledge and mastery of common software packages for office work
