Summary:

PROCESS AND SOLUTION ARCHITECT is a key component of the Business Process Improvement (BPI) Team within Quality, Health Safety and Environment (QHSE) and Supply Chain Department.

Principal Team objectives are the strategical improvement of the efficiency of the company’s processes, as well as managing the systematic quality and effectiveness of business operations. This position is instrumental in enabling the team to achieve these objectives by handling and supporting business requirements during their lifecycle, from discovering the needs, through re-engineering of processes and architecting solutions of various complexities, to development and release of solutions in line with defined project management plan and change strategy. Solutions are largely centred on re-engineering processes then automation and streamlining focusing on Microsoft Stack Applications (Including, but not limited to, Dynamics 365 Apps (CE & FO) and Power Apps and BI groups) as the key information management system within Mitsubishi Power Systems Europe Ltd across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

 

Job tasks and responsibilities:

 As a Business Analyst

  • Prepare for needs elicitation by defining session scope (stakeholders, processes)
  • Conduct needs elicitations by understanding current situation (accurate as-is process mapping is a key technique)
  •  Manage and monitor stakeholder’ engagement and ensure interaction is productive and serves common objectives.
  • Deliver summaries and playback to stakeholders the gathered information for accuracy and consistency during sessions, and communicate documented information afterwards.

Business Process Re-engineering Tasks

  • Conduct analysis on As-Is process logic to identify areas for improvement.
  • Re-engineer processes to leaner To-Be processes that are aligned with stakeholders elicited needs, a
  • Approve To-Be process content with affected business unit directors and subject matter experts (SME’s).
  • Work with Document Quality team to document To-Be processes 

 

Requirements Lifecycle Management Tasks

  •   Trace requirements by transforming needs into user stories in Azure DevOps
  • Maintain high accuracy of requirements, by completing key attributes such as description, acceptance criteria and states.
  •  Identify dependencies across user stories, and grasp the impact on backlog prioratisation within a Release Sprint.
  • Assess changes to requirements and evaluate implications.
  • Approve requirements by obtaining agreement on and approval of requirements 

 

As Solution Architect:

  • Architect overall solution design to ensure that it is fit for purpose and is also responsible for thoroughly reviewing solutions defined by other project members.
  • Overseeing and advising on all technical activities/solution development 
  • Working with the IT Infrastructure team to ensure that the design of any hardware configuration and infrastructure requirements are specified, and correct.
  • Advising on the most appropriate data migration strategy 
  • Maintains knowledge of third party software vendors to leverage complementary offerings and effectively compare and contrast solutions.
  •  Provides current best practices and solution alternatives as part of functional or technical design documents.
  •  Identify solution design options
  • Matching solutions with the corporate environment, and meeting stakeholders’ requirements.
  • Supporting project management by accounting for project constraints 

 

Person specification:

Essential:

  • BS Degree or higher in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline;
  • Proven and demonstrated experience and extensive knowledge in requirements engineering, applying BCS or BABOK standards of business analysis.
  • Proven  experience and extensive knowledge in architecting and developing end to end solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications, product experience and processes
  • excellent knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operation (Supply Chain in particular) (building forms, views, workflows, reports for UI, Custom Entities, Unified Interface)
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 application testing of configurations and customizations; including IT infrastructure, cloud development, engineering and software architecture design.
  • Greatly experienced with Power Platform Tools (Power Apps, CDS/Data-verse, Flow, and Power BI) as well as developing Power BI tools; Visual Studio, Business Intelligence Development Studio, O365 Administration, SQL Server Data and Azure Blob Tools, and Team Foundation Server

  • Fully conversant with Azure DevOps or similar;

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in business processes gap analysis

  • A working knowledge ASP.NET, VB.NET and/or C#, and Transact-SQL;
