This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

Summary:

Working closely with the Programme Management Back Office (PMBO) Manager and PMBO Senior Project Support Engineer, this person will be responsible for MPW-EMEA PM Department Technical Support and Coordination.

 

General Office based responsibilities/duties:

  • Under supervision of the PMBO Manager and PMBO Senior PSE, to develop the PM Quality Management System, in terms of planning, execution and reporting
  • Coordinate periodic meetings and arrange priorities in front of other entities and sub-vendors
  • Be assigned as Programme Management Backup PIC (Person in Charge) for some projects, producing QMS documentation as required, reviewing outage reports, and working together with PMs (Programme Managers) to coordinate outage deliverables, etc.
  • Be the link between Programme Management, Field Service and Customer Support Engineering departments

 

On site task/duties:

  • Although will be primarily office based and focusing on the PM department, occasionally may attend to outages and work as GT Mechanical TA or similar in the field, to advise and supervise the mechanical works, describe NCRs, etc.

 

  • To coordinate with PMs/PICs to collect top priority items to be discussed during periodic meetings, creating Agendas and NOMs, as required
  • To review the mechanical scope of the schedule in MS Project if needed.
  • Interpret drawings, Programme Management procedures and technical documents to explain in detail the findings and proposed actions
  • To propose and implement possible improvement opportunities
  • To develop, review, revise QMS documents such as procedures and related technical information
  • To be Person In Charge of any MPW/-EUK project assigned by the PMBO Manager: be the contact person between PM assigned to the project in subject and FS, preparing and/or requesting to other colleagues/teams all the required documentation/information needed on the pre-outage, execution and post-outage stages.

Person Specification:

  • Education: Proven related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Graduate level education in an engineering discipline is required
  • Fluency in business English is essential
  • Japanese Language: preferable but not required
  • Experience working for a Japanese company is preferable but not required.
  • Computer knowledge and mastery of common software packages for office work, i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power point and MS Project
  • Knowledge/Skill: General knowledge of following areas is required.
    • General understanding of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines and Generators
    • Repair Processes and Materials Analysis
    • Time & Project Management Principles
