This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

Working closely with the Field Service Gas Turbine (GT) Team, this person will be responsible for acting as a supervisor /Technical Advisor in training to be a GT TA, ensuring the safety and quality build of GT’s and associated plant based from LEEDS office and expected to travel the world for work.

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Work on the field as Technical Advisor, Supervisor, Tech. for Gas Turbine and Auxiliary outages when required.
  • Provide technical advice for Gas Turbine service work.
  • Prepare and present FS workshop topics.
  • To prepare and write technical reports, technical procedures, histograms.
  • To know and implement the quality policy of MPW.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Contribute to building a positive team spirit.

You will also be required to:

  • Supervise maintenance works according with Mitsubishi Power procedures and standards, being leader on the critical decisions.
  • Organize the manpower during outages, identifying the critical path of the outage and ensuring the work is completed within the time and quality expectations.
  • Interpret and apply drawings, field procedures and technical documents to open/close activities as well as proposing improvements.
  • Implement quality control procedures during disassembly, inspection, and assembly of turbines and related equipment.
  • To work actively on outage planning, execution, and improvement within Field Service.

Whilst carrying out these responsibilities you will also be required to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and maintain the highest degree of honesty and intergrety at all times.

 

Person Specification:

 

  • Excellent technical knowledge of turbine maintenance.
  • Fluent English.
  • Good project management capabilities.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with people with different cultures and nationalities.
