This is a Temporary, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

Summary

Working closely with the Program Management Team and senior Programme manager, this person will be responsible for coordinate and monitor assigned service projects, monitor compliance to applicable codes and policies interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs in our MPW EG.

 

General responsibilities include:

  • Support ST business expansion for Egyptian customers and promote LTSA /LTPM concepts for ST customers
  • Work under (Senior) Program Manager guidance and instructions for the managing projects in Nigeria
  • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, and personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project stakeholders to provide assistance and technical support.
  • To participate at the identification and resolution of technical nonconformities for the assigned projects
  • To prepare and write Technical reports, technical procedures, quotations.
  • Technical Reporting (NCRs, operation monitoring, etc.)
  • To manage day-to-day technical issues.
  • Supporting the (Senior) Programme manager to manage the outage during planning stage , execution ,completion and post completion.
  • To coordinate between project stakeholders on planning, scheduling, preparation of necessary manpower, parts, tools, consumables, and procedures for maintenance activities.
  • To support the (Senior) Programme Manager to schedule and conduct customer periodic meeting, planning meetings, pre-outage meetings, and post-outage meetings for the assigned projects.
  • To assist in inventory control and tracking of parts during outages.
  • To coordinate and provide support for pre-outage activities (development of work scope, outage schedules, staffing histograms, site organization chart, and safety document (RAMS, quality data package, procedure, resource arrangements), parts list development, etc.
  • To provide first response mechanical support for customer of his/her assigned project as may be necessary during unplanned maintenance event. Including deployment to site to recommend, direct and or implement trouble shooting, fact finding, or repair activities.
  • To provide support for post outage activities (site restoration and parts shipment) upon completion services.
  • To provide support during implementation of field service outages as required (i.e. assist field engineers with coordination of emergent technical issues and support the coordination of planned outage from site ).
  • To support customer/internal negotiation and implementation meetings as required.
  • To interface internally with service organizations (MPW EUK/MHI) as needed in order to plan outage implementation requirements and technical support for abnormalities trouble shooting.
  • To perform other duties as may be required or assigned by programme manager.

The person

  • Education: relevant degree e.g. BSc Engineering
  • Experience: Proven experience in the power generation industry and in the management of Power Plants , Steam Turbine experience is preferable.
  • Fluency in business English.
  • Computer knowledge and mastery of common software packages for office work.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong skills in negotiation, persuasion and diplomacy
  • Understanding or experience of working for an international organisation, knowledge of Japanese language and/or culture would be an advantage but not required
  • Ownership and responsiveness to customer problems
  • High standard of integrity and dependability
  • Willing to work out of hours, weekends and holidays to support the resolution of emergency issues as and when required
  • Willing to travel within the EMEA region when required.
